The Portland Business Journal reported this week that UXcomm is now Virtugo Software (they recently acquired the assets of a company with that name). The name that reflects the company’s focus on virtualization. They also closed a $4M investment round from OVP, Foundation Capital and a private investor.

The Orange County Register reported that Luis Villalobos, the founder of Tech Coast Angels,gave his sixth annual assessment of equity investing last week to the
Harvard Business School Association of Orange County. Less than 20 percent of the VC investments went to companies in their early
stages in 2006, compared to 40 percent in 1995.
