The popular Lab2Market Entrepreneur Academy is back, for three days in August (Aug. 25-7) and then, after a break to do the work, three more days in September (Sep. 25-29). As described in their email, the Entrepreneur Academy is:
A crash course in entrepreneurship for scientists and engineers interested in commercializing new technologies.
Through a hands-on approach participants will learn ways to:
- Navigate the path from research to market
- Manage the dynamics of entrepreneurship
- Evaluate technology/market opportunities
- Write and communicate elevator pitches
- Build and manage interdisciplinary teams
- Find and tap funding opportunities
This year the program is brought to you by Oregon Health & Science University Division of Management, Portland State University School of Business Administration, PSU Lab2Market Initiative, and OTBC, and much of the program will be presented by the folks from DFJ Frontier. (Full disclosure: I’ll be presenting a couple of the sessions too.)
